When you fly into Denver International Airport, give yourself plenty of time, it is large.  You should also find out from your car company or hotel, which door to go out once you get your luggage.  It can be very confusing to find your shuttle.  The airport hotels are a good distance away, you may want to take the train into town instead.

The hotels around Union Station are plenty and this is a good area. The Indigo hotel and the Conway Hotel are good choices with many restaurants to choose from.
